So many of the Google Web Fonts look totally unusable. It's like looking through all the free fonts you downloaded as a kid. They're "good enough."

Also makes you appreciate the work that guys like HF&J do when it comes to type and the massive number of ligatures in each typeface.

Yeah, it's a pain in the butt try to filter good fonts in there. But there are a couple of them that work good on screen, and they are free, so it's a great start for lean minds who are fed up of Georgia and Arial. :)
