Ask DN: iPad + Paper for UX

Hi DN community ! I wondered if I was the only guy here to do some UX sketches with an iPad, a Bamboo Stylus and Paper (that amazing Fiftythree app http://www.fiftythree.com/paper ) Do you think it's efficient ?

Personally I have not tried using an iPad for UX sketches yet, but I'll have to give it a try sometime. I've stuck with using actual paper for quick idea's and going straight to photoshop to hash out the initial UX.

The most efficient way for me:

Using actual paper for sketching and then use magnets and hang them on the whiteboard to see the whole flow.

Didn't found Bamboo Stylus and Paper for iPad useful for work purposes. Easier to get real piece of paper or stick to the wacom on mac.

(Recently, I wrote more detailed opinion about using stylus for ipad in my blog: http://blog.kam88.com/en/drawing-on-ipad.html )

I started using templates on paper and its been great! Doesn't get messy and easy to understand, Plus you have the wireframes on the device so it helps visualise it better.

I do! I prefer actual paper mostly, but sometimes the digital format is nice. I often make the canvas all bright blue, and then write with the fine tip pen in white. Simply because I think it looks cool ;)

I'm using it. I used paper + marker + pencil combo for years and I think I've lost all my earlier prototypes due to neglect. With iPad + Paper it's all digital for me now.
